A local resident has been taken into custody by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and is being held on $100,000 bail. Deputies said 42 year-old Tina Rogers was arrested last week after a search warrant was executed at her residence. Law enforcement personnel had been tipped off by neighbors that illegal activity may be taking place within the home. Those suspicions were due to numerous fights, purported drug use and odd, loud noise emanating from the structure.
Drug paraphernalia, narcotics, and used syringes were taken into evidence at the time the house was searched. Narcotics detectives said they also confiscated 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 2 grams of heroin. The items were reported to be found in the bedroom that defendant Rogers shared with her nine year-old child.
Rogers was arrested without incident and taken to the Ventura County Jail to be booked. She is being charged with felony child endangerment, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of heroin for sale and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
A second suspect was also taken into custody at the time of her arrest. Defendant Anthony Maxwell was also transported to the county jail and was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance. His bail information was not immediately available but it is believed to have been set between $10,000 and $15,000.
Both defendants remain in custody pending arraignment. It is unclear whether either individual has yet reached out a Ventura bondsman for assistance in obtaining bail bonds.
