Sources within the Ventura Police Department have confirmed that investigators have identified the men who are accused of stabbing a father and son at a baseball game last weekend.
According to a report by the Ventura County Star, the incident took place in the latter part of the afternoon in a parking lot. Officers believe there was some sort of altercation between the two groups; the father and son then walked off to view a baseball game.
The suspects approached and someone pulled a knife. The younger victim was 19, according to the report, and his father was also stabbed when he stepped in to try to break things up.
One of the men has been booked at the Ventura County Jail on attempted murder charges. He also has a gang enhancement, according to jail records. His bail bonds has been set at over $1 million. The second suspect is expected to be brought up on the same charges.
