A representative for the Ventura Police Department has said that investigators have been looking into several incidents of vandalism that have occurred in the past several months.
The first incident took place in April, they said, when a caller reported the tires had been slashed. The tire slashing incidents continued, according to investigators, but the Ventura PD believes they have finally captured the responsible party.
The suspect was arrested in March of this year for a similar crime; the tire slashings resumed after he was released from jail. Authorities have said they are still investigating the most recent incidents but they feel very confident that they have their man.
Anyone who believes they have information that could help with this investigation is asked to call the Ventura Police Department tip line.
The suspect was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail late last week. He remains in custody on $250,000 bail bonds.
